As a Brisbane Newborn Photographer, I am honoured when people invite me into their home to photograph such a special time in their life. I love capturing all the cuddles and natural moments between you and your newborn baby in photos.
My goal during your newborn photography session is always to capture your connection to your new little baby, to capture the little fingers holding yours, the cuddles - their contentment in just being held close to you. And if this isn’t your first baby, then those moments with their new big brother or sister are so special too. I just love capturing all the little parts of life so that you can look back in years to come and remember.
Welcoming a newborn baby into the world is such an exciting time, but it can also be overwhelming. So much information, about everything! With my natural newborn photography style, I try to keep things nice and simple. I’ll come to your Brisbane home and take photos of you with your baby as you are. If your baby needs to feed then that’s totally fine. If they need a nappy change that’s no problem too.

I am based in Brisbane and photograph all over Brisbane and surrounds. I would describe my newborn photography style as natural, candid and documentary - I want to capture real moments of your newborn baby. I want to help you remember how you felt in those early days with your baby. How they smelt, how they felt snuggled into your arms, how they loved being held a particular way. I want your newborn photography session to be more than just what you all look like, I want the photos to take you right back to that moment and make you feel it all over again.
If you’re a little hesitant and maybe are a little camera shy, then I totally get it - I am the same! I promise it won’t be awkward, we will just chat while you look after your beautiful baby and I’ll take photos as we go. You don’t need to pose or even look at the camera, just be yourself. As the newborn photography session is held in your home (I travel all over Brisbane and surrounds) it’s also easier to relax, no need to worry about where to go, or running late and it also means that pets can be included as well.
All of my Brisbane newborn photography packages include high resolution images, I don’t limit this to a set number as I want the photos to tell the story of this time in your life. So you don’t need to worry about choosing only a few or upsells (I’m a hopeless sales person!) You are also welcome to include siblings, Grandparents or any other special people in your newborn photography session. I would suggest booking the Family Story or Full Story Session if there are a few extra people so that it can all flow naturally and you can spend the time together naturally - and then I can capture it all for you. And lastly, if you want newborn photography of your baby but maybe they aren’t so ‘newborn’ anymore, of course we can do that. I don’t believe there is a ‘best time’ to get baby photos, all the moments are worth capturing. Ultimately I want you to feel comfortable and like yourself for your newborn photography session - wear clothes that make you feel good. Photographically keeping clothes a bit more neutral can help draw focus to your face but if you love colour and patterns and it's a part of who you are and how you express your personality then go for it. And lastly, I know finding clothes for a tiny newborn baby can be easier said than done but it's great if your baby's outfit isn't too big as this can sometimes mean they bunch up and can partially cover their face.

Newborn photography sessions are held in your home in Brisbane, no need to worry about traffic or the weather or if your newborn baby doesn't like going in the car. As your newborn photographer, I love photographing in your own space where so many memories are made.

Where are you based?
I am based in Brisbane and am available for sessions within the general Brisbane area. I am also available for Newborn Photography Sessions on the Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast or even interstate however a travel fee may apply. Get in touch if you'd like more info.

We photograph loads of people that don’t like being in front of the camera (I’m one of these people so I totally get it) and I understand that just because you don't enjoy posing for a camera, it doesn't mean you don't want any photos with your beautiful newborn baby! Firstly, you can just be yourself during your newborn photography session, I won't make you pose, you can just cuddle your baby. We'll chat and I'll take some photos along the way.

As I have my own little family I take on a limited number of newborn photography sessions so if you’re interested in having me photograph your family please get in touch when you decide you want newborn photos and we can chat about availability. If you do only decide you want photos after your baby is born - please still get in touch. I'm also happy to photograph your baby when they are a little older so if you'd rather photos when they're smiling or sitting just let me know.

Yes, no matter which package you book, they will include edited high resolution images all available to easily download through your online gallery. The newborn photography gallery is also an easy way to share your photos with your family and friends.

We ask for a $200 deposit to book in your session, all our bookings are done online - just let us know which session type you’d like and we’ll get a date locked in for you.

The Family Story session or Full Story Session are perfect for a newborn photography session when you also have older children. This gives us a bit more time so that the new big brother or sister can have some time to warm up to the camera. They can show me their room or some toys so that they don't feel overshadowed by their new little brother or sister. It also means we can take a more relaxed approach and photograph you all just doing your thing. You can also book a Short & Sweet Session, it might just require a little more direction during the newborn photography session.
